Joseph D. Tomaselli is a New York
City based Katzman Consulting associate who is a systems-oriented
consultant with a broad business background. His coaching
practice for the past decade and a half has included
work with many multinational top tier firms with an
emphasis on the financial sector and C suite executives.
As an Executive Coach Joseph guides leaders and their
teams to improve individual and organizational
performance and to:

they expect of themselves and how a self-directed
development process can lead to a broader view of

Joseph began
his career in pharmaceuticals, progressing to management
positions in product manufacturing and pharmaceutical
distribution and ultimately became an entrepreneur.
While building businesses, Joseph returned to Graduate
School and became a clinical psychotherapist, discovering
new depth and meaning helping individuals, families
and organizations navigate significant change and cope
with critical incidents and post-traumatic stress.
He applied his psychological training
and entrepreneurial experience to the challenges of
working in large organizational settings in the private
sector, including more than ten years in the BorgWarner
organization, a large multi-national diversified services
organization of 75,000 employees. Joseph held several
key roles in Sales and Operations and advanced with
increasing P&L responsibilities. As a corporate
executive he took on the role of change agent becoming
the senior HR OD/OE Learning Officer Executive for BorgWarner.
He focused on large system change, standardizing selection,
assessment and development of talent management and
succession planning, and improving people strategies
for seven business units. Throughout these efforts,
Joseph served as the internal coach and consultant for
business unit executive teams. Ultimately he decided
to focus his attentions full time on independent coaching.
Joseph received his MS in Psychology
from CW Post-LIU; his MSW Clinical Social Work at SUNY-Stonybrook
and completed clinical training at NYU, Beth Israel
and Columbia hospitals along with systems training at
the Ackerman Institute. He is certified to deliver the
Hogan Psychological Battery, The Leadership Versatility
Index (360), Clark Wilson Leadership Challenge (360)
and Conflict Dynamics Profile (360) and he is experienced
with the Belbin Role Preferences Inventory, and the
Jackman Team Diagnostic Survey.
