Jill Kristal, Ph.D. is a Katzman Consulting associate based in New York, who is recognized for two decades of expertise in facilitating change for corporations and individuals. A powerful and entertaining speaker on personal transition, her work has been published internationally. Employing multiple formats including coaching, training and copyrighted games on relocation, Jill has supported key business clients through critical transitions and maximized the success of relocating executives and their families. Jill's careful eye, compassion and sense of humor build connections between individuals and groups.

As a certified psychologist, Jill works to enhance individual capacities and adaptive abilities in support of organizational productivity. Her experience includes serving as a:

  •  Consultant guiding organizations experiencing conflict between teams to address and improve tolerance for differing perspectives and creating problem-solving strategies to improve communication

  •  Executive Director developing varied platforms for managing life change for 12 years at the American Counseling Center in London, England which was established in conjunction with the US Embassy

  •  Co-Founder of Transitional Learning Curves providing training and education to Human Resource Specialists in relocation and direct support to expatriating and repatriating families.

  •  Program Developer partnering with Trans Euro Worldwide Movers to create a large-scale assessment project evaluating client experiences and generating strategies to improve client satisfaction

  •  Product Developer designing a series of research-driven games to foster communication and forward planning for families preparing for international relocation

  •  Coach assisting individuals within corporations to enhance adaptive functioning, manage work-related stress, resolve conflict and improve communication

  •  Motivational speaker promoting women's mental health, work-life balance and career-life transitions

Living abroad for a decade, and a year's sabbatical traveling around the world have generated an expertise in multiculturalism which Jill has combined with her psychological insights to create training and articles on cultural awareness and cultural adaptation. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Weekly Telegraph, South China Morning Post and Mobility Magazine.

Jill received her master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical and Research Psychology from Adelphi University. Her undergraduate degree is from Tufts University, including a year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. She is a member of the American and British Psychological Associations, is a certified provider in EMDR and Gordon Thompson's Effectiveness Training.
